Home and Garden
Dad kept the yard and garden green and crispy during the heat wave while I was gone. I think the Black-eyed Susan is especially stunning.

I tried Tracy's dill pickle recipe. I haven't ever done dill pickles before. We froze this good lookin' corn on Tuesday. The best part of freezing corn is sucking the sweet milk out of the cob after the kernels are cut off.

Monday night Charlee and I were sitting out on the lawn enjoying the cool evening when a stiff dry wind came up. It felt like a blast furnace. Apparently there was lightning too because this range fire started south of Shoshone. It looks like it's just over the rise but it's about 10 miles north.
