Holiday Weekend

A delicious Thanksgiving dinner with a deep fried turkey.

Friday at B&B's watching them enjoy one of the simple pleasures in life, operating their new paper shredder!
Saturday fifty-five members of the branch came down on the bus from home to tour Temple Square. We met them there since there was no room for us on the bus.

Toured the temple grounds, church history museum, and conference center

Had dinner in the basement of the Joseph Smith building.

B&B&J brought the food for us. We were very grateful for their help!

After dinner it was dark and we enjoyed the lights.

It was a heavenly day!

What could it all mean?!

Thank You Veterans

I went to a concert by the Magic Valley Symphony tonight and was so moved by the music and the presence of veterans in the audience who were invited to stand up so we could recognize them with applause. The conductor invited us to read this piece about the Star Spangled Banner, our national anthem, which he said is the best one in the world. Before we sang it four soldiers marched in and presented the flag. It was emotional to see these soldiers in real war time.

Branches and Logs

If anyone needs something to do on the weekends, feel free to come and help haul branches and stack logs.
These are the logs from one of the 25 trees.

This is a view of a few of the branches to haul away.

I will probably still be working on this at Christmas time.
