Here is a picture of the button I said you could not see.
We bought me some shirts and took the collars off as directed by the Nauvoo Restoration Inc hereafter known as NRI. The shirts needed to be a size or two larger than my size so as to have a dropped shoulder look. Then we bought a pattern and made the vest in the picture. I cut it out and did a little sewing, but Fran did most of it. She found some buttons that look like buffalo nickels, which you can not see in the picture, but are cool looking. I need to find a 1830's felt or straw hat, it cannot be a cowboy hat. Any ideas?? Do I look like a pioneer at all??

The fabric looks too modern but otherwise I think you fit the pioneer look.
You look like all the men I see in Nauvoo, so you should be fine!
You look like you should be driving a team of oxen!
Cool buttons.
