State Fish Hatchery 80th year Celebration

A horse drawn wagon ride from the parking lot to the hatchery.
A woman teamster! Nice
Golden eagle
 Golden eagle egg
My favorite booth was the fur pelts
Golden eagles have 1700 lbs of pressure in their talons. They don't have flesh in their wings so they can get rattlesnakes because if the snake coils up and bites them it doesn't hit any bloodstream. Their eyesight is so good that if you had that eyesight you could sit on one end of a football field and read the newspaper at the other end of the field. Aren't the creations awe inspiring?!
 Nice sturgeon.
A grizzly bear footprint. So powerful it could smack you to smithereens or so delicate it can pick up forest litter and find little grubs to eat.
Steelhead hatchlings. This is the top of the run at the hatchery. Even this little they want to jump up on falling water. I can just hear them telling their friends, "Come on guys! Let's go up to the falling water and jump up. It'll be fun!"

Fun. Was this a festival or just another day with golden eagles and wagon rides at the fish hatchery?

Oh, I just read the title of the post, and now I know it was a special celebration.
