MLK day stroll

We went down in the canyon by Niagara Springs for a cold winter stroll with our pup. The temperatures have been below freezing all day for a while now.
Adjacent to the river is this little fishing lake fed by the springs in the background.
This wet dog mistakenly jumped in that cold little lake.
She saw these green water plants and thought it was the bank. She disappeared under the water like the Abominable in Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer movie. I could hardly believe my eyes! My dog was gone! Then up she came and I boosted her out. She acted like nothing happened and went back on the dock with me again. Then it was funny.

I LOVE DOGS and I want one right now! William humors this love of mine as much as the following: every time he spots a small dog (b/c I don't generallly like big dogs) he says "puppy!" so I will see it. But beyond that I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any urge to actually have a puppy. I do. He seems to have been VERY fond of Zoey, and I think that breed is ADORABLE, so maybe we can try to get one just like her, and I'm fine with that although I'd rather have a shitzu or a toy maltese. But once our future children get big enough those dogs are easily crushed...

Oh my goodness! That is funny, since Charlee is okay. It's funny that she didn't act shocked or anything, because she must have been. Hopefully she can swim.

"Acted like nothing happened"??? I am going to have to put a coat on just thinking about it.
