I think the time has come, if you haven't already, to either read the kids book or rent the movie "Good Boy." It would be a fun one to see with the grandkids. It's about how dogs are really aliens sent to earth to conquor it. They've acheived this by getting the lowly humans to do stuff like feed them, play ball and pick up their poop. When they don't come back, the queen dog sends out an emissary to see what's happened. The emissary dog in question gets adopted by a little boy, and, well, you'll see what happens.
Things in that movie will remind you of Charlee. I'm sure she would like watching it too.
No it's not Big Bird, or Barney, or Thomas. It's a nature show with a spot about sled dogs.
