Happy Anniversary! I'm glad you got married so that I could be born. And I'm glad you got married so that I could be born to such fabulous parents.
That photo is after nine years. Which means that I have been married longer than you had been married in that photo, which means that I am several years older now than you were in that photo, which feels weird because I can remember you being the way you are in that photo. I wonder if I will ever get to the point of accepting that I am a real, live adult.
What I love about this photo is that it speaks to me of legacy--the life you have built together, the family you have raised together, and the gospel you have lived together.
Jack Benny was a comedian when I was growing up. Part of his schtick was that he never got older than 39 even though he was born in 1894 or something like that. It's the only association I could think of with the # 39.
